There is something so glamorous about celebrating the New Year! It gives me a great excuse to pull out all of my favorite makeup products and create a dramatic look with that little extra something. This makeup look makes me feel beautiful and looks like I put hours into getting ready, but in reality it is very simple. Keep scrolling to see how I did it!
**If you follow my blog you might remember that I did a tutorial in my Falling for this Beauty Look post, but I did something different this time.
Face: I started with my face makeup instead of my eyes. I usually start with my eyes, because fallout can occur. In this case, fallout isn’t the enemy at all! I wanted this look to be filled with lots of shimmer and I really wanted my eyes to pop, so if some sparkles from my eyes fell onto my already finished cheeks, it would have just added to the look.
To finish the eye lookI used the MAC 224 Tapered Blending Brush to add the color Lemon Tart to my brow bone to create a highlight effect to my eyes. Also using the color Lemon Tart, I blended that into Saddle to create a seamless finished look.
One my lips were lined, I applied MAC Lipstick in the color Russian Red all over my lips.

Happy Throwback Thursday everyone! A little over a year ago, I was in London visiting my older sister Jordie, who was studying abroad for the fall semester. To be honest, when it comes to my nighttime skin routine I am fairly low maintenance. I use the essentials, and that seems to work for me. Everyone has different skin, so finding the right products is all about trial and error, but I figured I would share my nighttime routine with anyone who is curious. Don’t forget to tag me @sydneymallace or use the hashtag #sydneymallace to show me what nighttime beauty products you personally love!
The Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick is amazing! It has a nice smell to it, it doesn’t leave a greasy residue, and it works! I apply this to any problem spots that I am having.
I finish everything off by applying a nice layer of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. Unlike most moisturizers, this hydrates your skin without it feeling greasy, due to the gel based formula. This product is also great when it comes to dry skin because it’s filled with vitamins and water. Since this formula is in gel form and has hylauranic acid, it leaves your skin feeling cool and hydrated.
A bit of a different post today. I decided I wanted to share with you something that truly brings me joy in life: Fashion. Specifically the first step in creating a beautiful garment, which is the sketching process. My sketches are like pieces of art to me, and I personally take a lot of time in perfecting them. I hope you all enjoy, and I would love to see and hear about your hobbies that bring you happiness in life! Tag me @sydneymallace or use the hashtag #sydneymallace.
I’m not usually one to wear a long necklace, but as soon as I saw this one in Zara I had to have it. For this outfit, I decided to style it so it would showcase this piece. I wore a neutral colored top and a leather jacket with brass detailing, to match the brass colored necklace. Due to the coloring of the necklace, I opted for army green jeans opposed to black. This creates a more subtle feel to the outfit, but still has a bit of an edge to it. Black booties go with almost everything… but worked especially well with this look because it tied in the jacket without taking away from anything else or adding unnecessary details. I want to see what you wear when you roam around your city! Tag me @sydneymallace or use the hashtag #sydneymallace.
Hash House a Go Go is the perfect spot for brunch. They have delicious drinks, food, and a great atmosphere. I recommend that if you go, go with an empty stomach, because the portion sizes are huge! There are three Hash House a Go Go Locations, so if you have a chance to go — I highly recommend it! My favorite item to order is the ‘Sage Fried Chicken and Waffles’. I would love to see your picture when you go! Tag me @sydneymallace or use the hashtag #sydneymallace.

Autumn has finally arrived, and my excitement is at an all-time high! Due to growing up in sunny Arizona, I have never truly experienced Fall weather, let alone been able to comfortably wear basic Fall attire. (If I tried, I would have to come home and immediately jump into a cold shower to cool off!) Lately, Zara has been one of my go-to stores, because the options of clothing, trends, and styles are endless. I have put together what items I would enjoy wearing this fall, including some items that would ultimately have to be layered as it gets colder and Winter starts creeping up. I must admit… I don’t know what’s in store for this season, but I hope this Autumn is filled with nothing but the best!
